*Adopted* Granola the Humble Heart

Granola was officially adopted by the McKee family.

Granola’s story is the heart and soul of Fighting for Paws. Found abandoned in a field, she was a victim of unimaginable cruelty. Granola had been shot in the arm, beaten, and her tail was cruelly chopped off. She was left to die, just days away from death when we found her. Despite her horrific injuries and the trauma she endured, Granola’s spirit remained unbroken.

When we rescued Granola, she was on the brink of death, but with intense medical care, love, and patience, she made a remarkable recovery. Her journey from the edge of despair to a full recovery was nothing short of miraculous. Granola’s resilience and strength became a symbol of hope and inspiration for us.

Her story is what motivated us, Jullaney and Tyler McKee, to turn our dream into reality and establish Fighting for Paws. We wanted to create a sanctuary where other dogs like Granola could find safety, healing, and love. Granola now serves as the mascot for our rescue, embodying the mission and values we strive to uphold every day.

Granola’s courage and recovery are a testament to the transformative power of compassion. Her story is a constant reminder of why we do what we do—giving every dog a fighting chance and a better life.
