*Adopted* Riddick Legitimately the Best Dog I Have Ever Met: The Story of a Life Saved
There are moments in life that make you stop and reflect on the incredible journey of rescue. Today, I’m sharing the story of a dog who has changed my world and reminded me why I started Fighting for Paws in the first place. This dog, who was so close to losing his life, has become not only my best friend but also a constant reminder of why rescue work is so important. It's heartbreaking to think that he was almost lost to this world simply because someone saw him as a burden rather than a life worth saving.
I’ll admit, I was nervous about bringing him in. Taking on a rescue dog comes with so many unknowns. But looking at him now, I can say without a doubt—it was the best decision I’ve ever made. He is truly the sweetest soul, and I’m constantly amazed by his resilience and ability to love unconditionally, despite everything he’s been through.
This success story isn’t mine alone. I’m beyond grateful to my networking queen and close friend, Rachael Thorne Novotny, who has been by my side in every step of this journey. She’s an incredible connector, and her dedication to animal rescue has been a vital part of our success. Together, we’ve saved countless lives, and with her unwavering support, I know this is only the beginning.
