Astra, or “Star,” is a 14-week-old Belgian Malinois who, at just 13 pounds, is already shining bright after a terrifying start to life. This sweet girl was just days away from being euthanized at a shelter, simply because she was scared. Can you blame her? She’s just a baby who had no idea what was happening around her. But we couldn’t let that be the end of her story, so we stepped in and saved her from a heartbreaking fate.

Now safe with her loving foster mama, Astra is finally getting the chance to decompress and experience the warmth of a safe home. It didn’t take long for her true, playful personality to emerge. Just 10 minutes after leaving the shelter, Astra was already giving kisses, playing with kids, and enjoying life like a puppy should! Her transformation is a beautiful reminder of the resilience of animals when given love and care.
